I am pleased to hear from Paulina. The first session’s theme featured Noah and the flood.
This fits in nicely with lent. The connection is rather deeper than the 40 days that Jesus
spent in the desert and the 40 days that the flood covered the earth. There is a parallel with
the flood’s cleansing of the earth in the Old Testament story, and the
way that we are encouraged to turn towards God and restablish our
relationship with him. The children really enjoyed the session and
there were lots of Noah’s Ark related things to do. (And eat!)
